Do not use portable generators indoors, such as in car sheds, garages, basements, and enclosed areas. The generator should be placed in a dry place. If it needs to be installed and used outdoors, a canopy like building must be used to cover it to prevent electric shock accidents due to humidity.
When using the generator, it should be placed outdoors or in a well ventilated area within the machine room. It should not be near doors, windows, or ventilation openings. Natural gas generator sets should not be used near flammable and explosive materials to avoid carbon monoxide entering the room.
Not using a portable generator in these situations, even if the windows and doors are opened or mechanical ventilation is carried out, it cannot prevent the accumulation of carbon monoxide indoors, which may lead to fire or electric shock accidents.
2、 Storage and use of fuel
The fuel for the generator should be stored in a dedicated warehouse. The facilities in the warehouse should first shut down the generator before adding fuel to the fuel generator, and wait for the generator to cool before adding it, to prevent the fuel from gradually reaching higher temperature components and catching fire, causing disasters. Therefore, it must comply with the regulations of the fire department.
The type of fuel used should comply with the requirements on the generator user manual or label.
Excessive fuel should not be stored in the generator, especially in the generator set. If it is not in use for up to 30 days, a fuel stabilizer should be added to prevent fuel evaporation and accidents.
The flywheel housing of the natural gas generator set is directly connected to the front end cover of the generator through shoulder positioning in the axial direction, and an elastic coupling is used to directly drive the generator to rotate. This connection method is fixed together by screws, ensuring that the concentricity of the generator set's crankshaft and generator rotor is within the specified range.
